"I rode the Engwe EP-2 Pro e-bike through a rainstorm,
and it was awesome."
The bike flew over potholes and speed bumps, the Engwe easily sustained 30-kph speeds through the urban maze of Providence.
I slammed through puddles, splashing water into the air. The Engwe's headlight pierced the gathering dark, illuminating streaks of rain.
At each intersection, my gloved hands squeezed the handlebar levers, and the mechanical disc brakes smoothly seized. I was soaked, but I was happy, and the bike carried me all the way home.

Let’s get too specifics.
How fast is the EP-2 Pro?
960 watts of built in power to conquer all terrain
Explosively powerful Nm motor puts out a cool 28mph,
Let’s get real,
Front fork suspension cannot be included…
There's no way you're going to get a top speed of 28mph and
then also expect suspension for a bike that sells for under $900
Impossible you say?
Well it just got real, with the EP 2pro, you get 28mph speed, and the
$900 low cost and yes on top of that, an adjustable front suspension fork is included

"The Engwe can also reach surprising speeds; in theory, the pedal-assist can accelerate to 45 kmh.
In fact it is so fast that sales have allegedly been banned in several European countries"

For the ultimate in handling and stability
the one-piece wheel
One-piece wheels have several advantages over spoke wheels
Strength and durability:
One-piece wheels are less likely to be damaged than multi-piece wheels.
Shock absorption:
One-piece wheels can absorb shock, making them good for off-roading.
They can handle higher speeds
Alloy wheels, because they're more rigid, handle higher speeds
More predictable in turns
The solid, inflexible nature also makes the single piece wheels more
predictable in turns, especially at higher cornering speeds where stability
and consistency are paramount
Why is the EP-2 Pro
the Ultimate in handling and Stability?
When combined with a specific frame design, the high-strength shock absorbing front fork suspension and the 4” fat tires with granular pattern, and the one-piece wheels, enables the EP-2 Pro to absorb more pressure than the average e-bike, giving you a smoother, safer ride.
And the anti-skid the 180mm armored disc brake are more sensitive and will give you more immediate and precise braking and will improve control even on wet, slippery surfaces.

Nothing short of a collision with a semi-truck would damage them
Finally, the Engwe is often described as a "mountain bike," and you can ride it over rocks and roots without much concern.
The rims have a rigid frame instead of spokes, so nothing short of a collision with a semi-truck should damage them.
This is not that cheap knockoff that many feared it would be
For a bike in this price point, the Engwe EP-2 Pro is durable, comfortable, and multifaceted
